I am so sorry to her about your Mom. She was a second mother to us all and she loved the neighborhood kids!. I often talk fondly of my time working at McDonald's under your mother's wing. She taught me how to run Children's Birthday parties and I was so excited to take on such an important role. I also got to serve as the Easter Bunny for McDonalds for several years and your mom and I worked together taking pictures with the kids that came in. It was my first real job and it taught me so much. She was a fierce advocate for the neighborhood, and the city, and her devotion and passion benefitted so many who could not advocate for themselves. Cambridge is a better place because of her. She and my mother, Pat McCarthy, were inseparable and they were always taking on some cause through their work with Model Cities, the neighborhood clinic, elder services or working on some political campaign. My grandmother, Margaret Leeman, always considered her a second daughter and was so proud of her! My grandmother always bragged about your mothers' many achievements and what a strong person she was. I am confident that they are all overjoyed to be reunited once again and are having spirited discussions! She lives on in all of us and our warm memories of her.
