Obituary of Phillip S. LaRosa
Phillip Samuel LaRosa, 66, of Tewksbury, MA passed away unexpectedly on February 19, 2025.
Phil was born in Boston, MA on April 20th 1958 and graduated from Tewksbury High School and was a member of the hockey team. He started his career in high tech at Nixdorf Computer and worked at other companies doing tech support for ComputerVision, Sun MicroSystems and Dell.
He is predeceased by his parents Samuel LaRosa and Pearl (Guzelian) LaRosa. He is survived by his children who were his world, Domenick LaRosa, Vincent LaRosa and Joseph LaRosa of Billerica. He is also survived by his former wife Maureen (Morris) LaRosa, his brother Weston LaRosa and wife Christine and close friend Kathy Wagner.
Phil was a man of many interests and talents. He was most happy when he was riding his Harley Davidson and his passion for riding started at a young age. His riding adventures brought him to different locations including Laconia, Daytona and Milwaukee.
Another interest for Phil was competitive shooting and he was active in many leagues. Most recently, he was a member at the Horseshoe Fish and Game club located in Merrimack, NH.
Phil enjoyed the outdoors and when he was younger, he enjoyed the exhilaration of skiing and scuba diving and earning his black belt in Kempo Karate. Phil volunteered as Cub Master for Pack 53 in Billerica while his boys were active in Scouts. Memorial visitation on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM, in the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd., (Rt. 3A), Billerica. Followed by a funeral mass in St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish in St. Theresa's Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Phil’s name can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
