Obituary of Nancy L. Gardner

Nancy L. Gardner, of Cambridge and Somerville passed away on February 23, 2025, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Daughter of the late Evelyn A. (Kenney) and Thomas J. Gardner. Pre-deceased by her brother Thomas J. Jr., and her sister Susan. Nancy is survived by her brothers, Richard, Michael  and his wife, Rosemary, Stephen and his wife, Denise,  Jack and his wife, Sandra. Loving Aunt and Great aunt to many nieces and nephews. Also loved by her uncle Bob Gardner and many, many cousins. Life long childhood friend of Barbara Walsh who was always by her side, especially throughout her battle. Barbara’s  friendship,  love and dedication is commendable.  Nancy worked for 20 years at Polaroid and for the last 28 years as Facilities Coordinator at Industrial Economics, Inc. Nancy's dedication and professionalism has left a lasting impact on colleagues and friends alike. She had a great flair for arts and crafts and treasured her many trips, especially to Alaska. Her kindness and generosity touched many lives, ensuring those around her always felt cared for and loved. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at The Burns Funeral Home, 305 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02139. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made in Nancy's name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Foundation. Burial will be private.
