Obituary of Christopher E. Melillo

Christopher Edward Melillo

(August 23, 1963 - January 8, 2025)

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Christopher Edward Melillo  on January 8, 2025, at the age of 61. Christopher, a son, father, brother, uncle, and friend, will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Born on August 23, 1963, in Somerville,  Massachusetts.  Christopher was the beloved son of the late Ann Marie (St. John) Macdonough and Daniel P. Melillo.  He was the much-loved brother to Daniel P. Melillo,  James E. Melillo,  and Doreen Mansker (Melillo). He is also survived by his only daughter,  Sarah Santiago (Melillo-MacMillan), and his nieces Danielle Keeler, Melissa L. Mansker-Halfmann, and nephews Matthew R. Mansker, Randy S. Mansker, and their children,  who will carry on his memory.

Chris grew up in Billerica and graduated form Billerica Memorial High School class of 1982. Shortly after graduation he moved to California and then Florida before moving to Somerville, MA and then Las Vegas.

Christopher had an interesting and adventurous view on life. He was someone  who embrace the freedom of the open road, traveling across  the country in search of new experiences. He spent many years working in the casinos of Las Vegas. Finally moving to  Washington State where he spent the last few years of his life.

Above all,  Christopher was known for his boundless energy and his ability to make friends wherever he went. He was a social and charismatic individual.  His kindness and generosity extended to everyone in his life.

In his final months,  Christopher found a deep and meaningful connection with his daughter,  Sarah.  He reconnected with loved ones, lost friends.  We take comfort in knowing that wherever Chris's journey takes him next, he is now on a new adventure--a chapter of peace and freedom,  and his spirit is now free to explore the endless possibilities of the next adventure.

Christopher's family takes comfort in knowing that he lived his life authentically,  with a spirit that was uniquely his own. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. Graveside service will be held, Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited.
