Patricia (Vargas) Fitzmaurice

April 14th, 1955 – August 19th, 2025

Patricia Fitzmaurice, age 70, of Orange, MA, passed away peacefully on August 19th, 2025.

She was born on April 14th, 1955, a long time resident of Somerville, MA. She was the daughter of the late Evelyn Bonstell-Doyle and Joseph Doyle. Patricia was married for 34 years to the late Joseph Daniel Fitzmaurice. Patricia retired after 26 years as a dedicated call operator with Verizon.

Patricia found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved crafts, gardening, western movies, music, family, animals, cooking, and shopping. Her outgoing  nature and creativity touched those around her.

She leaves behind her daughter, Kelly Ann Fitzmaurice of Billerica, MA, and her son, Kevin Joseph Fitzmaurice of Orange, MA. She is also survived by her sister, Joanne Marie Smith of Pulaski, NY and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held, Monday, August 25, from 4:00 t0 7:00 PM., in the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd., Billerica. A funeral mass will be held, Tuesday, August 26, at St. Matthews the Evangelist Parish in St. Theresa's Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment, Cambridge Cemetery.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Western MA for family and friends that wish to attend. In lieu of flowers, memoirial contributions may be made in Patricia's name to your local animal shelter.
