There will only be one Joel Bernstein in our lifetime and a beautiful life you have lived and shared with so many people. We will miss that laugh, our lunches/dinners out with you and Sandy to celebrate us/our friendship, who needs a reason, just to get together for good food, drink, and the company. Our time together has been cut short but not to worry we will continue our dinners saving you a seat at the table. Till we meet again, we’ll raise that glass to you dear friend. Always Kathy & Ray

Joel was such a wonderful guy, so witty, so intelligent, So many fond memories of hanging out with him and Sandy. We had some good times and he was a true gem. I remember all of his stories of his old DJ days where he met the Doors, and other great 60's bands before they hit it big. He was also a connoisseur of fine wines, and food. Always a pleasure to dine out with the Bernstein's. He will be missed so much. RIP Joel. It was indeed a pleasure to have you as a friend. My condolences to Sandy, David and family.

Joel was truly one of a kind and a treasure to know and call a friend. Scientific and funny rarely go together but Joel was both. The only guy I know who was on Nova and could make you laugh. We'll see you again someday. -Paul Angelosanto.

Oh the fun memories, that cruise to Aruba, Cozumel and beyond, 100 year old "Centenier" Cognac and the best 'blizzard' airline freeze for 2 beautiful days on the North Shore of Puerto Rico, ChiChi Rodriguez's course ... Oh what fancy fun we had. He will be missed and Sandy, my friend, please stay in touch. My sincerest condolences, visit Savannah anytime.
