Obituary of Christopher W. Martell
Christopher (Chris) W. Martell of Chelmsford, MA, formerly of Billerica, MA, tragically passed away on the morning of October 4, 2025. Son of the late William Sr. and Joanne C. (McInerny) Martell. He was 54 years old.
Chris worked for many years as a diesel mechanic for Martell Motor Express in Billerica, MA, before transitioning to custodial work. He was a deeply caring and giving person who would give the shirt off his back, even if it was the last one he had. He loved being outside and enjoyed sharing activities such as hiking, fishing, and swimming at the beach with his children. He was a New England Patriots fan and supported the New Jersey Devils, much to the dismay of his Bruins-obsessed mother. He was an avid movie watcher and would quote his favorite lines whenever he had the chance. He had a deep appreciation for music, especially classic rock, and was always listening to artists like Bruce Springsteen, Led Zeppelin, and The Doors. However, there was nothing he loved more or was more proud of than his children.
He is survived by his loving children, Angela and James Martell. His siblings, Sheryl Gillis and her husband John, William Martell Jr, Karen Martell, Laurie Macdonald and her husband Steven. His nieces and nephews, Shane Jones, Danielle Archer, Joseph Lappin, Hollie Sullivan, Jamie Jones, Melissa Guist, Scott Sullivan Jr. As well as many great-nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his long-time girlfriend, Cindy Hunt, along with many other friends he made throughout the years.
He is predeceased by his sister Sandra Martell, and beloved dogs Bandit and MooMoo.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A private celebration of life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your local shelter or food pantry.
