Obituary of Marie D. Miller Dolan

Marie Dorothy Miller Dolan, 74, of Dorchester, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, at Boston Medical Center. Marie was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on June 21, 1951, to the late Hugh and Helen Miller. Marie is survived by the love of her life—her husband of nine years, her best friend and soulmate for more than sixty years—Jimmy Dolan. Marie devoted her life to caring for Jimmy with unwavering love and dedication. After Jimmy suffered a debilitating stroke over thirty years ago, Marie selflessly chose to give up her career in accounting to be by his side, caring for him with everything she had. He was truly her world. Marie was known as the life of the party. She had a warm spirit, a generous heart, and an infectious love for enjoying life. She treasured her many friendships and always welcomed laughter and good times. One especially dear friend was Sonja, the kind of friend everyone hopes to have—someone who faithfully checked in on both Marie and Jimmy to make sure they were always cared for. In addition to her husband Jimmy, Marie is survived by her sister Helen and her husband Ed, her brother Jimmy and his wife Vera, her nieces Lisa and Karen, and her nephews Steven and Nick. She is also survived by many beloved great-nieces and great-nephews. Marie will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her love, loyalty, and the joy she brought into the lives of all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held on January 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Polcari’s Restaurant, 309 Montvale Avenue, Woburn, Massachusetts.
