Obituary for Mary Kay Catino

Mary Kay Catino of Billerica, age 68, passed away at Lahey Hospital in Burlington after complications from pneumonia on January 5, 2026. She was born July 15, 1957 in Ironwood, Michigan to the late Gerald and Theresa (Buchholtz) Reed. She was the beloved wife of Anthony Catino, devoted mother to Katherine Jewell, Nicholas Adams, and Sarah Carpenter, loving sister to Steven Reed, Kristine Reed Jackson (Gordie), cherished grandmother of Zachary, Andrew, McKenzie, Dalilah, TJ, Archer, and Everett, and several nieces and nephews, each of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Known for her kind heart, caring nature, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends, Mary Kay touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Professionally, Mary Kay ended her long and dedicated career with Citizens Bank as Head of Retirement Services, retiring in 2019.

Outside of her work, Mary Kay found joy in the simple, beautiful things in life. She loved to garden, tending to her flowers with the same care she gave to the people around her. She was an avid birdwatcher, finding peace in the quiet moments spent observing nature. A lifelong animal lover, she opened her heart and home to countless pets over the years.

Mary Kay’s legacy of kindness, devotion, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

A Graveside Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 at Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Road, Billerica, MA at 11:00 am.

In remembrance of Mary Kay, the family kindly request that instead of flowers, donations be made to an animal charity or shelter of your choice.
