Obituary of Robert J. Cossette

Robert James Cossette was born to the late Margaret Cossette and James Flanagan on July 5th, 1964. Early on in life, he was then adopted and raised by Robert Cossette. He was an ASE certified master technician, who perfected his craft for over thirty five years.

Robert was blessed with a loving family. He married his best friend, Wendy Azlee Masotta, on March 12, 1988 in Malden, Massachusetts. Robert helped raise three children with determination, strength, and courage. He taught them that hard work and endurance are key fundamentals of life.

Roberts summers were spent spending time with his family, often going on family vacations and road trips. Robert was a genius mechanic. You could often find him working on cars, either at work or in his free time, or helping one of his children with their own. He was strong willed, and dedicated to everyone he loved. After retiring, Robert found his greatest joy in helping raise his granddaughters, Mackenzie and Madison. Wherever life took them, he was always there beside them.

Robert is survived by his wife Wendy Cossette; his sons Corey and Taylor Cossette; his daughter Kelsey Cossette; his grandchildren Isla Cossette, Mackenzie Hussey, Madison Hussey, and Troy Cossette; his brother William Cossette; and his sisters Cheryl Cossette and Cathy Dell'Orfano.

Robert passed peacefully with his wife Wendy, son Taylor, daughter Kelsey, and daughter in law Victoria by his side. He will be dearly missed by all his loved ones.

Family and friends are invited to pay their final respects during a wake service on Tuesday, May 26th from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Burns Funeral Home, located at 354 Boston Rd, Billerica, Massachusetts 01821. A prayer service will be celebrated at the conclusion of the visitation at 6:30PM. A private cremation will follow.
