Obituary of Ralph J. McKenna
Ralph J. McKenna passed away peacefully at his home on May 26, 2026. Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, on September 19, 1929, to Mary (Travers) and John D. McKenna. Husband of the late Gloria (Sampson) McKenna. Predeceased by his siblings Dorothy, Joseph G, David G, James, John, Helen, Francis, Marie, and George. After graduating from Cambridge High and Latin, he joined the Army, where he served as an MP during the Tokyo War Crimes Trial. He earned his BS degree from Boston College and his JD from New England School of Law. He was the Town Accountant for Billerica and the Treasurer of the Billerica Municipal Employees Credit Union for many years, along with serving on many town committees. He was also an attorney and C.P.A. in his private practice. Surviving him are his children, Ralph (Denise) McKenna, Jr. of Billerica, MA, Kathleen A. McKenna and her late husband, Sunil Sikka of Bolton, MA, James E. McKenna, and Nancy (Curt) Capodilupo, of Billerica, MA. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral mass will be held, Friday, May 29, 2026 in St. Matthew The Evangelist Parish in St. Theresa's Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment, Fox Hill Cemtery, Billerica.
