Obituary of Elearnor L. Shea

Eleanore Shea, age 87, of Buzzards Bay, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Shea. Known for her immense kindness and her deep love for animals, Eleanore served for many years as the librarian at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy.

She is survived by her sisters, Phyllis Silva and her husband Joseph of Wareham, and Francis Drumtra and her husband Lawrence of Bellingham. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Christine Rizoli and her husband Mark of Buzzards Bay; Mary Jo Brunell and her husband Michael of Cumberland, Rhode Island; Mark Silva and his wife Karen of Vero Beach, Florida; and Stacy Juba and her husband Mark of Blackstone. She also leaves behind a large extended family and many treasured friends.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Francis Cemetery, Washington St., Walpole, MA 02081. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend.
