In Loving Memory of Linda Ryan Sonnenberg

Linda Ryan Sonnenberg of Billerica, a cherished soul whose warmth and grace touched the lives of many, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026, at the age of 76.

Born on August 8, 1949, in Washington DC and raised in Somerville, MA. Linda was the beloved daughter of the late John and Sue (Page) Ryan.

Linda was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gary Taylor, whose memory she carried tenderly throughout her days. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Suzanne Marks of Somerville, Angel Ryan of Somerville, and her brother John "Skippy" Ryan and his surviving wife Cheryl of Nashua, NH, her precious granddaughter, Sophia Marie Leary of Lunenburg. Their spirits undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms in the next realm.

A devoted mother, Linda is survived by her three sons: Shawn Ryan, Jeffrey Sonnenberg, and Patrick Leary, who were the lights of her life. Her unwavering support and boundless love equipped them with the strength and compassion to carry forward her legacy.

Linda was the dear sister of Richard Ryan and his late wife Maria of Hudson, Sharon Ryan and her longtime partner Stephen Bunker of Barrington, NH, and Patricia Jacome and her husband Michael of Revere. She has 8 grandchildren and nieces and nephews, each of whom holds a special place in her heart. She was also the longtime companion of the late Michael Leary.

An advocate of living life to the fullest, Linda found immense joy in dancing and singing, both of which were expressions of her effervescent personality. She was a polio and breast cancer survivor. Her laughter was a melody that resonated in the hearts of all who knew her, and her presence was a beacon of light and love.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Linda’s life on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Burns Funeral Home, located at 354 Boston Road, Billerica, MA.
