To Mr. Whippen, My Church Buddy,
You were a real gentleman with an infectious smile and a kind heart.
May there be an abundance of MB jelly donuts waiting for your arrival.
I will miss you, Rest in Peace Sir.

Jean and family,
I am so very sorry to hear about George. He was a very nice man. Always with a smile. I’m sorry I am away and won’t be at Mass. May he rest in eternal peace.

May I add....that slide show set to music was so beautiful. It made my eyes wet. I don't know if that's something Burns does or if you/the girls put it together, but thank you....thank you for sharing the lovely family photos of some of the times of your life. I really loved it.
Love,
Emily

Dear Jeannie, Maria, Cindy...my heart and my thoughts are with you, as well as other family members and all the many friends who are missing George already. I was so saddened by the news that George had passed. I know you all have wonderful memories and I pray they bring some comfort as you grieve your loss. George was just an all-around great person, one of the "good guys." I want to thank him here, too, for serving his country in the USMC.
Memories....light the corners of my mind. The big cousins reunion at your house is a favorite memory. Jeannie, you opened your lovely home to all of us (and there were many!), treated us to delicious food....you and George were just the perfect hosts, electric laughter and love. Speaking of electricity...we didn't need it; your smiles lit the room! I remember just feeling so happy and grateful for all of you, for all the extended family I'm blessed to have. And all of us there in one place---it was fantastic! Thank you for that memory.
I remember, too, when my sisters and I visited with you, Jeannie. George was usually there and always gracious, but he was also smart enough to stay out of the way of all that "female force"! Or, maybe it was self-preservation. :-) But if Jeannie or any of us needed him, he was there. We had a ton of delicious food but it's the laughter I remember most (do you see the pattern?).
Thank you for those memories, too.
And maybe the biggest memory of all, which is why I keep mentioning it, is George's smile. I think it entered the room before he did. That smile was so big, I believe that even Heaven is brighter for his presence.
All of us are sending all of you our love and prayers.
Cousin Emily
