Obituary of George J. Whippen
George J. Whippen, 89 passed away on August 14, 2026 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading, MA with his loving family by his side. George was a longtime resident of North Billerica. He was born in Quincy, MA on June 11, 1937 to the late Walter T. Whippen and Anna J. (Corson) Whippen. He was the first born of their six children. George was a graduate of North Quincy High School and proudly served in the USMC. He was employed as a Field Service Technician for TRW for 29 years until his retirement. He returned to work after his retirement and was employed by Fujitsu.
He was a proud member of the DAV, NRA and New Hampshire League of Craftsmen. George was known for his smile, patience and hard work. He cherished time spent with his wife, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. He was an avid woodworker and furniture maker. He loved spending time fishing, hunting and swimming.
George is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, whom he cherished,
Jean (Cimorelli) Whippen, his daughters Maria Jenkins and her husband Robert of Dunstable, Cynthia Coyne and her husband Edmund of Tewksbury, his grandchildren Derrick Jenkins and his wife Tayla of Pepperell, Brittany Ramos and her husband Freddy of Billerica,
Troy Jenkins and his wife Emma of New Market, NH, Olivia Coyne of Tewksbury and Mykayla Coyne and her fiance, Andrew Cunningham of North Chelmsford. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and a son, Kevin Whippen. George was predeceased by his grandson Brice Jenkins.

A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Church, N. Billerica. Burial at Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd. Billerica, MA
