Obituary of Jim Hagan

James E. Hagan, age 87, was an avid Boston sports fan.  He was a kind and generous man who will be missed dearly by all who knew him during his lifetime.  Beloved husband of the late Carolyn (Dilworth), Jim died Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at home surrounded by his family.  He was born in Cambridge and worked for Instrumentation Laboratories for over 30 years.  In 2002, he moved from Cambridge to Billerica. 

Jim was the son of the late Thomas and Helen (Mahoney) Hagan and the brother of the late Helen (Hagan) Brady.  He is survived by his sons, James Hagan and wife Linda of Billerica, William and Timothy Hagan of Billerica; his daughter, Heather Solitro and her husband Mark of Bedford, MA; his loving grandchildren, Erin (Hagan) Gilcoine and her husband Bobby of Billerica; Thomas Hagan and his fiancé, Dana Cokely of Cambridge; Alexandra Helberg of Cambridge; Francesca, Christina and Nicholas Solitro of Bedford; and his three great grandchildren, Chloe and Keegan Gilcoine and Thomas (TJ) Hagan.  He is also survived my many nieces and nephews.    

Visiting hours will be held in the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Road, Billerica, MA on Wednesday, May 29 from 5-8 P.M.  Relatives and friends are invited. www.burnsfuneralhomes.com
