Funeral Mass
The Funeral Liturgy
The Funeral Liturgy contains one or two readings, a responsorial psalm, a Gospel reading, and a number of sacred hymns.
The family is permitted to choose one reading each from the Old Testament and New Testament. The priest selects the Gospel reading. The family is further invited to have people of their choice read the Old and New testament readings.
Hymns to be sung during the Liturgy may also be chosen by the family.
