I worked with Barbara for about 10 years at MIT's fusion science lab in the late 90s. I arrived before most in the morning, which afforded a short time to chat with Barbara on the way to my desk. She'd often ask about my wife and kids (who she knew from various social events), and then tell me about her kids and grandkids. Always a smile, never an unkind word. Sweet, lovely lady. I was saddened to hear this news, but believe she had a good life. My condolences to her family.

I'm so sorry for your great loss. May you find comfort in all your cherished memories. Jesus gave us an encouraging promise of a resurrection in the Bible at Acts 24:15; Luke 23:43. This provides comfort and hope that one day our loved ones will be raised to life on a restored paradise earth, with the prospect of never again having to suffer or die - Revelation 21:4. More Bible thoughts to help you cope may be found on jw.org.

I met Barb in 1986 when I moved into the Miller Farm in 1986. I lived there until 1993 and Barb always treated me as if I was a member of her family. This included Easter dinners, family gatherings, etc. My most memorable moment with Barb was the 2002 Super Bowl vs the Rams. When the Patriots won the game and their first ever Super Bowl she was there celebrating with us. In my excitement, I gang tackled Barb and Brian sending them both to the floor. Barb was not long out of cancer treatment at that point so I was pretty horrified by what I had done. Barb laughed it off as though it was nothing and I was relieved that she escaped with only bruises.
I will never forget you Barbara Keesler and god bless you. You were one of a kind and will be missed.

Cindy and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Having lost my own Mom recently, the only words of comfort I can offer are that you will always feel her with you. She will always be in your heart. It will not stop the longing for her to be by your side, but it will become easier with time to find that place in your heart where she resides.
Cindy, you always spoke of her so beautifully and as a loving daughter who appreciated her spirit, energy and sense of humor. I know you were always there for her, so my deepest condolences and my heart goes out you.
Love, Shirley
