Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your husband and father. I worked with Ed throughout my 20+ year legal career. He was a great source of professional advice over the years. Ed was always kind and had a way of explaining things to those of us that don't understand "actuarial" issues. He clearly passed on his character to his children as they are also a pleasure to work with. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sincerely,
Sandra G. Saunders/New Bedford

Please accept my deepest sympathies on your loss. My professional dealings with Edward were always pleasant and informative. His calm and straight forward approach was well received. I appreciated his intelligence, professionalism and honesty. Among our colleagues, I recommended him to all. He will be sadly missed by many in his profession. He was a true leader in his field.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Edward Foley at this most difficult time. I had the pleasure of speaking to Mr. Foley over the years on various cases in need of a QDRO while working for Bruce Lider and James Fogarty (Lider, Fogarty & Ribeiro) before their retirement. Mr. Foley was always kind and courteous. He was a wonderful person and will be truly missed.

To Judy:
I was really broken up to hear that treatment had stopped for Ed. We were out of the country and just arrived home. I know it will be hard for you to go on. Ed was one of the greatest people I have known, and I regret not seeing him and you more. I am positive that he would want you to continue on loving your family and living your life, and not to be, as much as possible, forever burdened by his death, as horrible as the occasion is.
Laurie and I would be thrilled to get together with you as soon as you are able.

I am so deeply saddened that Ed has passed away. We were the best of friends during our 4 years at Holy Cross and I have so many wonderful memories of the friendship that we enjoyed. I am so regretful that we didn't continue our friendship after graduation.
He was a perfect friend...caring...understanding...and always there for me. We had so much in common. May God provide peace and eternal life in His kingdom for Ed and may his family know that those that he touched during his lifetime mourn today..

On a visit to Billerica, Uncle Ed and Aunt Judy introduced us to the very best pizza and ice cream ever! We still talk about it and have plans to go back to eat there on our next visit. It won't be the same without Uncle Ed going with us. Our love to all. ❤️

Kelly and I were very saddened at the news of Ed's passing. I learned a great deal about our shared family history from Ed over the years and I regret we did not have more time together. We are grateful for his kindness, good humor and friendship. Rest in peace, dear cousin.

While there are so many wonderful memories over the years, my favorite is of the day that Ed and Judy met! Ed and I served in the Navy together and soon became roommates on our ship. One day, Judy came to visit me on the ship, but met Ed and the rest is history! What a wonderful life they built and enjoyed together! A life so well lived!

One of our favorite memories of Ed is when Eileen locked herself in the upstairs bathroom at Thorndyke Road. She was maybe 3 years old and would not open the door. Ed climbed a ladder and crawled through the window to rescue her. Our savior! May Ed rest in God’s arms.
