Karen Elizabeth Ford, age 77, of Billerica, Massachusetts passed away on March 23, 2020 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Karen was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on July 29, 1942 to the late Frank and Elizabeth Czarnowski. Karen worked for many years at Cambridge City Hospital and for the Billerica Police Department as a clerk. She volunteered her time with the Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, Camp Fire Girls and frequently volunteered in her children’s schools. She enjoyed spending her time with her family, attending her grandchildren’s events, cooking, and shopping for gifts for others to enjoy. Karen is survived by her devoted and loving husband James of 53 years. She is the loving mother of five children, Nancy Stewart and her husband Basil, of Amherst, MA, Tom Ford and his wife Jennifer of North Reading, MA, Cynthia McLean and her husband John of North Andover, MA, Jim Ford and his wife Sara of Rumford, RI, and Gary Ford and his wife Laurie of West Newbury, MA. She also is loved by sixteen grandchildren Basil, Victoria, Brenna, John, Lexi, Kylie, Spencer, James (JT)(deceased), Evan, Magen, Kathryn, Gavin, Tommy, Madeline, and Carah. She was a loving sister to her siblings Ann Flaherty (deceased), Frank and Steve Czarnowski. Due to the Coronavirus, a private funeral service with St. Theresa's Church was held at Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica, MA on Thursday, March 26, 2020.
