Obituary of Donald F. Bennett

Donald Francis Bennett, age 55, passed away unexpectedly on September 19 of a pontine stroke in Manchester, NH surrounded by family.

Donald is survived by his mother Marjorie Bedley of Billerica, siblings John Bennett of Billerica, Debra Bennett of Dracut, Diane and Eric West of Dracut, Lori and James Barrett of Chelmsford, Mark Bennett of Chelmsford. He was the brother of the late Wayne Bedley.

Husband of Yvonne Bennett and son-in-law of Peter and Vicky Maclellan of Wilmington. He is survived by nine nieces and nephews that he loved dearly, many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins in his extended family, and his loyal companion Cracker Jack. He had many friends who he enjoyed spending time with.

Donald enjoyed raising chickens and had a close circle of friends. An avid Nascar fan. He was a member of the Friendship Lodge AF & AM, Wilmington, Masons. He worked for the Carpenters Union for many years. He loved the Highland games and was known to sport a kilt on occasion. He loved to travel and be the first to arrive at all family events. Mr. Gorgeous was very prompt.

Donald will be greatly missed and remembered by all who knew and loved him. He leaves us with many fond memories that will be forever in our hearts.

Services will be held graveside at Fox Hill Cemetery 130 Andover Road, Billerica, MA 01821 on Saturday, September 26 at 11am. Due to COVID restrictions, masks should be worn and social distancing encouraged.
