Obituary of Valentine Duffaut

Valentine Duffaut, 83 died on Tuesday September 28 at Boston Medical Center. She was surrounded in her last moment by her son Antoine Duffaut and died peacefully. Valentine was born on May 21, 1937 in Marigot, Haiti. She was the last child of 6 children from the union of Judge Horacius Duffaut and his spouse Eliverne Compere. Valentine was a self-made woman who sacrificed everything to create a better life for her two children Daphney and Antoine Rudolphe. In 1999 Valentine made the courageous decision to immigrate to the United Sates and settled in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She was a loving grandmother to George Duffaut (deceased) Anthony and Sarah Duffaut. Valentine will be remembered as a mother, a grandmother, an aunt, a friend, and a counselor to all. Visitation will be held on Friday October 9th, 2020 from 9am-10 am at Saint Mary of the Annunciation church in Cambridge. At 10:00 am mass will follow. Social distancing protocols will be observed along with mask wear. Condolences to the Duffaut, Bryant, Charles, Lessage, Theodore, Eloi, Jean, Nicolas, Jean-Louis, Joseph, Compere and all other relatives and friends afflicted by this loss.
