Obituary of Alexandra M. Smith

Alexandra (Sacha) Smith, 38, of Plymouth, January 6, 2021, passed away unexpectedly at home. She was educated in both Cambridge and Plymouth. Sacha was the beloved partner of Bobby Zarella and the loving, devoted mother of Ayden, age 13. Ayden was the whole focus and light of Sacha’s world. He gave her enormous joy and purpose in her life.  Sacha was also passionate about her fiction writing and had written many short pieces which she dreamed one day of publishing. Sacha’s bright mind was well known for her amazingly quick wit.  Sacha also leaves her beloved brother, Nick, who was her constant, loving companion. She was the beloved daughter of Mary Mahoney Smith and William Smith, both formerly of Cambridge and currently of Plymouth. Sacha was deeply loved by her many aunts, uncles, and cousins. The private viewing on Wednesday, January 13, will be followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, 134 Norfolk St., Cambridge at 11:00 A.M.  All attendees are required to wear face coverings, practice social distancing.
