Billerica – Maureen A. (Mirasolo) Herrick, 70, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2021 surrounded by her loving husband and four children. She was born on April 17, 1951 in Boston, MA, the daughter of the late Francis and Leona (Dall) Mirasolo. Maureen was the beloved wife of James Herrick for over 51 years in which they shared four children. Dawn Agostino and her husband, Michael of Dracut, MA; James Herrick Jr. and his wife, Michelle of Billerica, MA; Danielle King of Billerica, MA along with son-in-law Paul King of Derry, NH; and Kristen DeLuca and her husband, Dan of Billerica, MA.
Maureen is survived by her three siblings, Francis Mirasolo and his wife, Christine of Billerica, MA; Sandra (Mirasolo) Puleo and her late husband Joseph of Tyngsborough, MA; Beverly (Mirasolo) Mirabito and her husband, Edward of Waltham, MA along with many nieces and nephews.
Prior to Maureen’s retirement, she was a long-time employee of Tufts Health Plan. Her interests included shopping, crafting, and traveling. Maureen and James spent many winter months in Sarasota, FL visiting museums, walking along the bay, and enjoying the sunsets at the jetty. You could always find her on the porch swing reading a book and drinking a cup of coffee. Most importantly, she loved to host holidays for family and friends and spoil her 11 grandchildren: Alyson, Tyler, Dylan, Paige, Cameron, Jonathan, Brandon, Larissa, Brooke, Brendon, and Addison. Maureen will be dearly missed by all. Funeral from the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd., (Rt. 3A), Billerica, Friday, May 7 at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Matthew The Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Road, Billerica at 10:00 AM.
