Lily Bennett died peacefully on July 31^st, surrounded by family, at her home in Billerica, MA.  She enjoyed 93 wonderful years of life.  Born to John and Winifred Hession in Mountbellew, County Galway, Ireland.  She was one of 9 children.  She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John Bennett; her sister, Sr. Gabriel Hession (Sister of the Holy Ghost) of San Antonio, Texas; daughter Mary Heasley and husband, Scott of Billerica, MA; daughter Lorraine Dunigan and husband, Tim of Southern Maryland; and daughter Pauline Bennett and husband, Gary Begor, of Boston. She was the proud grandmother of Katie Dunigan, Sean Heasley, Laura McGrath (husband Mike McGrath) and Jake Dunigan, as well as beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews around the world. Relatives and friends are invited to gather for visiting hours on Wednesday, August 4, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM., at the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Road, (Rt. 3A), Billerica.  Lily’s funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at St Irene’s Church in Carlisle.  In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution in Lily’s honor to Red Cross or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.  Burial following at Fox Hill Cemetery.
