Obituary of Nicholas J. Rosa

Nicholas J. Rosa, age 81, died Sunday January 16, 2022 at Lahey Hospital in Burlington. He was the beloved husband of Carol R. (DeFlumeri) Rosa to whom he was married 55 years. Nick was born in Winchester, March 24, 1940, the son of the late James and Elizabeth (Migliaccio) Rosa.  Besides his wife, he is survived by his two sons and daughters- in- law, Michael S. Rosa and his wife, Claire, and Steven M. Rosa and his wife, Laura. He is also survived by his two loving grandchildren, Steven Jr., and Sienna Rosa. He retired from Marcotte Law Firm in Lowell as a claim’s supervisor. A resident of Billerica for 55 years, Nicholas was past president of the Friends of the Council on Aging, a 25 year town meeting member, and a member of the Billerica Elks, Sons of Italy, and the Woburn Sportsmen’s Association.  He was also a member of the National Guard. A funeral will take place from the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd., (Rt. 3A), Billerica, Friday, January 21, a 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish in St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica, at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours in the Burns Funeral Home, Thursday, 4:00 to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Nick’s name to the Friends of Billerica Council on Aging, Inc., P.O.
