Obituary of Walter R. Mietzner

Walter Robert Mietzner, 81, of N. Billerica, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday February 13, 2022 surrounded by loved ones. 

He was married to Barbara A. (Wilbur) Mietzner for 57 years. Born in Everett, MA he was the son of the late William and Olga (Palmunen) Mietzner. He graduated from Everett High School in 1958. He was a member of IBEW Local 103 for 64 years. He was an active member of Chelmsford Bible Church. Besides his wife he is survived by sons: Michael Mietzner and his wife,Melissa of Fremont, NH and Robert Mietzner and his wife, Kristi of Lowell, MA and his 8 grandchildren, Katelyn, Madelyn, Jocelyn, Logan, Kara, R J, Brooke and Danny. 

He was the brother of William Mietzner (deceased) and Doris Giberson and her late husband, Harry and several nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Chelmsford Bible Church’s Memorial Fund, 128 Gorham St. East Chelmsford, MA 01824. 

Visiting hours will be held Friday February 18, 2022 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Burns Funeral Homes 354 Boston Rd. (Rt. 3A), Billerica with a funeral service on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 11:00AM at Chelmsford Bible Church in East Chelmsford, MA.
