Obituary of Patricia M. McPhail
Patricia M. McPhail (Murray), age 73, of Billerica peacefully passed away at home on Saturday, April 16, 2022 surrounded by her loving family, after a long, courageous battle with metastatic cancer.
Patricia was born on October 23, 1948 in Winthrop, MA. She was the cherished daughter of the late John and Josephine (Vincenti) Murray. She grew up in Winthrop and graduated from Mt St Joseph Academy in Brighton.
Patty treasured time spent with her family, especially her three grandchildren. More than anything, Patty cherished spending time supporting the many activities of her children and grandchildren. Being a wife and Mom was her greatest and happiest achievement. She will be remembered most for her kindness and dedication to her family and their friends.
Patty was a devoted wife of 51 years to her husband John, and beloved Mother to her four children: Michael McPhail and his wife Patty of Beverly, Lisa McPhail of Wilmington, Danielle Jamieson and her husband Danny of Andover, and Brian McPhail and his wife Kristen of Pepperell. She was also an adoring Grammy to Nathan, Leah and Henry McPhail. Patricia is survived by her dear brother Bill Murray and his wife Denise of Danville, NH, special sister-in-law Shayne Reardon of Billerica, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her brother John Murray, Jr.
Family and friends will gather at the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Road, (Rt 3A), Billerica, on Thursday, April 21, from 4:00-7:00pm. Funeral from the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd., (Rt. 3A), Billerica on Friday, April 22, at 9:00am, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Matthew Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa’s Church, 466 Boston Rd, Billerica at 10:00am. Interment to follow the Mass at Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
Patricia’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the MGH Cancer Center as well as the nurses of Beacon Hospice for their extraordinary care throughout her illness.
