Obituary of Joan E. Delmore

Delmore of Billerica, May 27, 2022, Joan E. (McDonald) Delmore, age 86. Beloved wife of John W. Delmore. Joan was born in Torrington, CT, the daughter of the late Philip and Geraldine (Henderson) McDonald. She was the devoted mother of Sean and Brian Delmore, both of Billerica and sister of John McDonald of West Yarmouth and the late Philip McDonald. Funeral from the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd., (Rt. 3A), Billerica, Wednesday, June 1, at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa’s Church, Billerica at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours, Tuesday, 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the Burns Funeral Home. Joan worked for Eastern and Trans World Airlines where she met her husband, John. She then worked for MITRE Corporation in Bedford, retiring after 30 years. She was a faithful communicant at St. Theresa’s Church in Billerica and a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Joan loved her trips to Ireland and her friends on Cape Cod. She also enjoyed listening to the Irish tenor, Ronan Tynan and country singer, Willie Nelson.
