Obituary of Elaine M. Vinci

Elaine M. Vinci, age 86, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 19, 2022. She was born in Everett, MA to the late John and Mary (Zuben) O’Donnell.

Elaine raised her children in Wakefield, MA and later moved to Halifax, MA where she would reside for the next 23 years, making friends in the area. She loved watching the hummingbirds, doing word search puzzles, Bingo, swimming a few times a week at the Y, traveling, playing a morning scratch ticket with her coffee, and most of all spending time with her family. Her kids knew she loved Jesus Christ as she referenced him many times in their youth. Elaine was a fiercely independent woman with a sense of humor that she passed onto her children.

Elaine was the beloved wife of the late Santo Vinci. She is survived by her children Michael Soulios and his wife Pearl, Chrissa Bates, Ellen Barton and her husband Justin, and Diane Barry and her partner Mark Sahagian.

She was the proud grandmother of Michael Soulios and his wife Katie, Aimee Soulios and her husband Michael, Stephen Miller and his wife Lynn, Robert Barry and his wife Jennifer, Jonathan Bates, Michelle Soulios and her partner Adam, Patrick Barry, and Bryan Miller and his wife Amy. She was the great-grammy to Sophie, Cyrus, Julian, Ruby, Lorenzo, and Sebastian.

Elaine is also survived by her siblings, James O’Donnell, Mary Ellen Carabineris, John O’Donnell, Patricia Hansford, and nieces and nephews.

“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear” – Unknown

Elaine’s family would like to sincerely thank Brightview Assisted Living in Billerica and Brighton Hospice Services for their kind and compassionate care.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life brunch on December 11, 2022, from 12-3 at the Four Points Sheraton, 1 Audubon Rd. Wakefield, MA.
