Len worked on my staff during our time in the North Atlantic Regional Office. Len was our natural resource management specialist. Many have shared that Len was a gentile, man. I agree with all those who have spoken highly of Len. I knew him as a knowledgeable, competent, soft-spoken man with tons of integrity. Rose and Adrianna were the center of his universe, and he adored them as the queens of his court. The world is less of a better place without Len, and he is gone way too soon. The many lives he touched and the many more that he would have touched will miss his wisdom. I am sure Our Lord and Saviour needed another angel to watch over us. Sir, may you rest well in Paradise. We Love You Man.

I am so sorry to hear of Len’s passing. Len was an outstanding National Park Ranger and Manager. He served as my Deputy for the twelve years I was Superintendent of Acadia National Park. As Chief of Operations, Len oversaw the daily visitor services, law enforcement, resources management, facility maintenance and administration and he supervised all the division chiefs. Len had a warm and friendly and highly capable approach to management, and he had a wonderful sense of humor. The many park emergencies, urgent matters, and visiting dignitaries never ruffled Len and he always solved problems with the best interests of the park, the employees and the visitors in mind. During my 38-year NPS career, I served with many extraordinary men and women, all dedicated to the National Park Service mission, and Len was among the very best. Sheridan Steele
