Obituary of Louise J. Viehmann

Louise Joann Viehmann of Cambridge, Massachusetts, peacefully passed on September 21, 2023, at the age of 82.  Loving mother of Daniel Viehmann and his wife Melissa of Kennebunkport, Maine.  She leaves behind her cherished loved sister Lorraine Moscardini and Lee Smith of Cambridge, Massachusetts.  Fondly remembered is her predeceased former husband George Anthony Viehmann of Kennebunkport, Maine.

Louise is a graduate of Colby Junior College. Following her graduation from Colby, she found her interest to be more towards the medical field. During her years of employment, she worked at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts. Thereafter, she joined the team at the Center for Blood research in Boston, Massachusetts, which she remained until retiring. 

During her retirement years Louise became a strong advocate for the protection of Greyhound racing dogs. As a lifetime advocate of the Greyhound Protection Act, Louise put words to action by personally adopting and providing a wonderful home for her Greyhound dogs.
