Obituary of Theresa C. Rogers

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Theresa C. Rogers, (known as Carrie) on 
October 30, 2023, with her children and grandchildren at her side.  She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, John R. Rogers Sr. (known as Ritchie).
The loving daughter of the late William and Bertha Banatt, Carrie was born and raised at the family homestead in Cambridge. She was a homemaker while her children were young and went on to dedicate herself as a cafeteria aide at the Morse School and then on to Cambridge City Hospital as the smiling face to all visitors and staff as a Cash Register Attendant. She is survived by devoted children: 
Susan Rogers (Fennessy)  Plainville, MA, Barbara Rogers and her husband, Dale Belden of Bradenton, Florida, John Rogers and his wife, Mitzi of Pennsauken, New Jerey, Christine (Rogers) Guinto and her husband Raymond of Cambridge MA and
Joseph Rogers and his wife, Lauren of Gardner, MA. Cherished Grandmother of Amy (Fennessy) O’Brien, Erin (Fennessy) LaPaglia, Crystal Farrell, Sarah (Rogers) Towery, Matthew Rogers, Michael Guinto, Daniel Guinto, Julie Guinto, Felicia (Rogers) Deskins Ryan Rogers and Sydney Mario. Adoring Great-Grandmother of Casey Fung, Maia Carvalho, Andrew O’Brien. Visiting hours will be held in the Burns Funeral Home, 305 Broadway, Cambridge, Wednesday, November 8, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, followed by a prayer service at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Buriel will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make  donate to the American Cancer Society in her name under lung cancer
