Obituary of Michael Clinton

Michael Clinton, age 65 of Cambridge passed on November 1, 2023 at Tufts Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.  He was the beloved husband of Melinda Camara Clinton. 

Michael was born and raised in Cambridge, MA, the son of the late John F. and Catherine (McCarthy) Clinton.

He is survived by his three children Jennifer Clinton and her partner Paul of Hyannis, MA, Robert Clinton and his wife Kayla of Wakefield, MA, and Kyle C. Vieira Clinton of Cambridge, MA.  Adored “Pa” of granddaughters Cecelia Louise Clinton and Alessia Catherine Clinton.

He also leaves his sisters Kathleen and Elizabeth Clinton, and his brothers Thomas, Daniel and Lawrence.  He was the brother of the late Gerald, Dennis and John.  He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.   

Michael was a member of the Cambridge Fire Department for 33 years until his illness forced his retirement.  For nearly two decades of his career, he proudly served as a Fire Lieutenant stationed at Engine 6. 

Michael enjoyed trips to Mexico, Florida and the Azores.  He was an avid Boston sports fan.  He loved his motorcycle trips and visiting White Horse Beach. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and will be missed by them greatly.

Visiting hours will be held in John C. Burns Funeral Home, 305 Broadway, Cambridge Sunday, November 5, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Funeral mass in St. Mary's Church, 134 Norfolk St., Cambridge, Monday, November 6, at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Michael's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Tufts Medical Center, 800 Washington Street #231, Boston, MA 02111. Interment in Cambridge Cemetery will be private.
