Obituary of Ralph J. Laundry

Ralph J. Laundry, age 80, of Billerica, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023, peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice House surrounded by his loving family, following an extended illness. Born on February 11, 1943, Ralph was the son of the late John and Anna Laundry and brother of Barbara Newman of Reading and Anne Murphy of Woburn. He was the loving husband of Georgiana (Gaitanis) Laundry, with whom he shared 62 beautiful years of marriage. He is survived by his loving children, daughter Cheryl Laundry of Marblehead and sons John Laundry of Chelmsford, Ralph Laundry and his wife Mary of Billerica, and Paul Laundry and his wife Tara of Swampscott. Ralph was the proud grandfather of Brianna, Jack, Drew, Derek, Danielle, Brendan, Emerson, Broghan, and Avery Laundry. He was also the loving great grandfather of Marlee Laundry and special uncle to Christine (Ganno) and Steven Paquette of Tewksbury and their daughters Ava and Maya.

Ralph was born in Somerville, MA and grew up in Arlington where he attended St. Agnes elementary school and graduated from Arlington high school in 1960. He moved to Billerica in 1968, where he and Georgiana raised their four children. Following high school, he worked as a Drafting Manager at Technical Operations Inc., learning many skills that he would use throughout his life. Ralph became an entrepreneur in 1972, owning and operating Creative Floor and Wall World, until transitioning back into the high-tech industry in 1979. In 1989 he was promoted to VP of Operations at Kodak, and in 1994 joined Computer Identics Corp. as VP of Manufacturing. He achieved great professional success over his 30-year career, retiring as CEO and Director of Millennium Training Institute, Inc, in 2010.  Following retirement Ralph stayed busy working part time in Finance. In his down time, Ralph enjoyed golfing, boating, and completing home improvement projects but his greatest joy was his family. Ralph was an accomplished businessman, loving father, and dedicated husband to his wife Georgiana, and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
