I just recently learned of Dan's passing. I was saddened to learn this news. I first came to know Dan while I was a student at St. FX University, along with his brother Angie and his future brother-in-law Norman MacMullin ( my college Roommate). At that time Dan was an RCMP Officer posted in New Brunswick. He would always stop at the campus when he would be driving through to Benacadie. What a wonderful and caring person he was. We discovered that we were actually cousins ( His Grandmother Katie Mary and My Grandmother Eliza were sisters). Over the years, after he settled in Boston, I would often meet him again when he would be home visiting his summer place in Benacadie. I offer my prayerful condolences to all the Farrell family. He will be missed by all who had the good fortune to call him a friend. May he rest in Peace and Rise in Glory

Dan set the bar high for older brothers. He left home at a young age to work and even with a small salary he managed to send money and gifts to his younger siblings. We will always remember his generous spirit. Brother Roddie and Gayle Farrell
