Obituary of Mary A. Sullivan

Mary Davidson Sullivan passed away on January 4, 2024 due to complications with long term illnesses. She is survived by her husband Brian Sullivan, her daughter Katie Chaves, son-in-law Dennis Chaves, sister Catherine Sutherland, and her beloved niece Erica Hayden and nephew John Sutherland.  Her crowning achievement was being a devoted grandmother to her beautiful granddaughters Cora and Eleanor. Mary was a proud graduate of St. Mary's of Cambridge class of 1974. Anyone that knew Mary knew that her most cherished moments were spent with her family and friends relaxing and spending time together. As a Cambridge native, Mary loved late nights in Boston, cheering on the Patriots on Sundays, and sharing the rich history of her childhood with her daughter. Her compassion knew no bounds as she was always the one someone could turn to help them find their path when lost. She had fond memories of many White Mountains vacations, including a drive up to Mount Washington, despite her reluctance. Mary was a devoted, loving, strong woman who always put others first and will be greatly missed by all those who had the honor to know her. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish in St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited.Visiting hours will be held in the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd.,(Rt. 3A), Billerica, Wednesday, 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Realtives and friends invited. Interment, Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
