Obituary of Robert J. Dube'

Robert J. Dube’, 86, of Billerica passed peacefully on January 20th, 2024. He was the son of the late Arthur and Mary (Boggen) Dube’ and is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Kathleen (O’Donnell). He also leaves behind his four children and their spouses Christine Page and her husband Scott of Townsend, Robert and his wife Brenda (LeRiche) of Atkinson NH, Janet LaFave and her husband Paul of Naples ME and Richard and his wife Jodi (Smalline) of Jacksonville FL as well as his grandchildren Michael, Jeffrey and his wife Kellsie, Tanya and her husband Neal, James, Kaitlyn, Colette, Nadine and Brady along with great grandchildren Luke, Anna and Cali. In addition, Robert leaves his sister Mary and her husband Charles of Watertown along with several nieces and nephews. Bob worked as a machinist for Charles Stark Draper Labs in Cambridge for many years until his retirement. Bob was a member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks #2071. He was a fan of all New England pro sports teams but most especially the Boston Red Sox. One of his most enjoyable memories was playing softball for the Frank Sarno Trucking team where he hit his one and only home run. In his retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, family and friends having visited several places including Ireland, Paris, London, Hawaii and several Caribbean islands. Visiting hours will be held at the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd., (Rt. 3A), Billerica, Saturday, January 27, from 9:00 to 9:45 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish in St. Andrew's Church, 45 Talbot Ave., North Billerica at 10:00 AM.
