Obituary of David A. Fawcett

David Allen Fawcett, age 68, longtime resident of Billerica, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on February 9, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Cynthia Ann Fawcett, with whom he shared 42 wonderful years of marriage.  He was predeceased by his father Frank Fawcett, mother Estherina Fawcett Yannece, Stepfather Vito Yannece, brother Francis Fawcett, Sister Elaine Monty, and brother Patrick Fawcett. He proudly served in the United States Navy. After his service he worked as a master plumber and for the town of Billerica in the Waste Water Treatment Facility for 22 years. He also worked for Market Basket in Billerica for 12 years in the deli department. After his retirement, David enjoyed driving the school bus for the Eastern Bus Company for the Billerica school district. In his leisure time, David enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing cards, gardening, and camping with his loving family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Boy Scouts Troop 55. In addition to his loving wife, David leaves behind his daughter Amy Tessier and her husband Alex, his daughter Elizabeth Fawcett, and his son Daniel Fawcett and his wife Deserae. He is also survived by his brother John Fawcett and his wife Ann Marie. David will be greatly missed by his beloved grandchildren Arianna Munoz, Arabella, Esmerelda and Gallagher Fawcett, and Lexi and Adley Tessier. Along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and his good friends Brian Tonks and Cindy Tessier.

Visiting hours in the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd., (Rt. 3A), Billerica, Friday, February 16, 2024 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. Relatives and friends invited.
