Maureen A. (McCarthy) Freitas, age, 81, of Billerica, died April 17, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Edward Freitas. Devoted mother of Scott E. Freitas and Melanie Amaral of Plymouth. Devoted grandmother of Daniel Joseph, Matthew Scott, and Amelia Gayle. Former mother-in-law of Melissa (Greene) Freitas all of Weymouth. Loving sister of Patricia Hart and her husband, Peter of Georgetown and the late Dennis McCarthy and his wife, Lorraine McCarthy of Stoughton. Aunt to Christopher, Jennifer, Ryan and Amanda. Grand aunt to several grand nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd., (Rt. 3A), Billerica, Wednesday, April 24, at 9:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish in St. Theresa’s Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours, Tuesday in the Burns Funeral Home, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment, Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
