Obituary of Marie L. Naples

Marie Lorraine (Belliveau) Naples, age 97, of Wolfeboro, NH and Hobe Sound, FL, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on August 30th.  Lorraine was born August 6, 1927 to the late Louis and Emily (LeBlanc) Belliveau of Nova Scotia.  Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Naples.  She is survived by her children, Patricia Pardee and husband Stephen, Richard Naples and wife Donna, and Jeanne Meade and the late Kenneth Meade.

She was Nana to Sarah Frohock and fiancé Marco Simonetti, Elizabeth LeBlanc and husband Keith, Katelyn Pardee and husband Craig Olson, Jennifer Stegemeyer and husband Torin, and Matthew Pardee and wife Kaitlyn.  Lorraine was also Nana to three great-grandchildren, Tabitha and Nathan LeBlanc and Kolette Pardee.  Nana enjoyed time with her step grandchildren, Stephen Pardee Jr. and wife Eva, Amy Jock and husband Gary, and Jason Pardee and wife Heidi.

She is survived by her sister Edna Doran, many dearly loved nieces and nephews and was predeceased by her brothers Philip Belliveau and Paul Belliveau.  Later in life, Lorraine enjoyed happy years with her companion the late Al Barnes and his children Patricia, Terry and Phyllis.

Lorraine spent years summering in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire and wintering in Hobe Sound, Florida where she was loved by many.  If there is anything that comes to mind when thinking of Lorraine, she was a woman who never met a stranger, and she loved every dog she encountered.  Nothing meant more to her than the love of her family.  She was known for her elegance, grace and strength.  Although many hearts are broken at her passing, they are also filled with happy memories of love, laughs, bridge and cribbage games, the best meatballs and sauce, bad jokes, virtual cocktail hours, and just enjoying time being together.

The family wishes to thank the compassionate caregivers at Seacoast Rehabilitation and Nursing Home for their heartfelt care of Lorraine.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, September 5 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Burns Funeral Home, 345 Boston Road, Billerica, MA 01821.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Parish of St. Matthew the Evangelist, St. Theresa Church, September 5 at 11:15 AM.  Interment Highland Cemetery, Dover, MA.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Pathways for Children, 29 Emerson Avenue, Gloucester, MA 01930,Pathways For Children and the American Cancer Society.
