Obituary of Maria P. Angelo

Maria P. (Fezzuoglio) Angelo, age 74 of Billerica, MA passed away peacefully on October 20, 2024, surrounded by her loving children after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Maria was born in Muro Lucano, Italy on July 31,1950.  She was the loving wife to her late husband, Giuseppe Angelo for 43 years.  Maria immigrated to the United States with her mother at the tender age of 11.  She was a graduate of Cambridge High School.  Maria was an avid reader and enjoyed all types of books but especially loved her romance novels.  Her most prized accomplishment in life were her 5 children and her 12 grandchildren. She was a kind and loving woman who shined a bright light whenever she entered a room.  She carried over her love into her cooking and especially loved to have everyone together for Sunday dinners. Maria is survived by her 5 children Joe Angelo and his wife Giuliana of Wakefield, MA, Frank Angelo and his wife Crocetta of Medway, MA, Tony Angelo and his wife Letizia of Lunenberg, MA, Nancy Angelo and her husband Roberto of Sicily, Italy and Maria Angelo and her fiancé Gagan of Billerica, MA.   She is also survived by her most precious gift of all her 12 grandchildren, Giuseppe, Alessio, Salvo, Anthony, Julia, Jessica, Daniel, Myriam, Gabriel, Kevin, Jasmine and Justin. Maria is also survived by her loving sisters Anna Repole of Groveland, MA,  Rosa Sullivan of Orlando, Florida and her brother Giuseppe Fezzuoglio of Revere, MA.  as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Visiting hours in the Burns Funeral Home, 354 Boston Rd. (Rt. 3A), Billerica, Wednesday, October 23, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will be held Thursday in St. Matthew  the Evangelist Parish in St. Theresa's Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends invited. Interment, Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
