Obituary of Ruth A. Marone
Ruth A. Marone (92) - Billerica
Ruth Alice Marone (née Quigley) left us on December 27, embraced by the warmth of her family. Born to Alice Lorena and Edward Quigley in the heart of Medford, MA, Ruth's journey was one marked by connection and care. A Medford High School alumna, she harnessed her innate ability to connect with others as a telephone operator. It was in this chapter of life that she met Genaro Marone, setting the foundation for a loving family that would grow to encompass children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Ruth's zest for life was infectious, finding joy in the simple pleasures of time spent with her family. From the sun-soaked days at Hampton Beach to the crisp afternoons apple picking and the shared laughter during shopping trips with her daughter, Nancy, Ruth's heart was fullest when surrounded by love. Her care extended beyond her family to the many animals she natured over the years, with a particular fondness for her dogs and goats.
She leaves behind a legacy of love in her sons Jerry with wife Kim and David Marone with wife Patricia, and daughter Nancy Margeson with partner Mark, all of Billerica; her brother James Quigley of Lewes, DE; sisters Helen Wilson of Nashua, NH, and Patricia D'Onifrio of Stoneham; her cherished grandchildren Andrea Rucker (husband Chris), Sheila Abraham (husband Dan), David Marone (wife Kelly), Jillian Pavidis (husband Chris), Nick Marone (wife Samantha), John Marone (wife Kristen), Michael Marone, Jacob Lodi, and Steven Quigley, along with their children, all of whom were her pride and joy. Ruth's wide-reaching family also includes cousins, nieces, and nephews too plentiful to name. She reunites in peace with her beloved husband Genaro Marone, son Steven Marone, partner Warren Riel, brother Edward Quigley, and sisters Lorraine Lathbury and Mary Stafford.
Ruth's indelible spirit, characterized by her kindness, boundless generosity, and a quick wit that could lighten any room, will be profoundly missed. Yet, her essence will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched, a testament to a life beautifully lived.
