Obituary of James R. Barbaro

James Richard Barbaro was born in Winchester Massachusetts to Anthony and Susan Barbaro on December 16th 1939. He went to high school at Winchester High. Jim was involved in many Musical Shows as a performer and phenomenal tap dancer. He worked for Delta Air Lines for 30 plus years retiring at the age of 55 as the luggage manager. Many of Jim’s life enjoyments were Community Theater and Operas of all types. Jim also enjoyed traveling all over the world. He also went to Las Vegas many many times including the local casinos as he so enjoyed the slot machines. We all know he probably built the new casino wing at Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut. Over the years Jim became such a cat lover that at one point he had rescued and kept all 7 stray cats as these were all his children. Jim was such a gentlemen, kind and generous to many people over the years and never looking for anything in return. Over the years Jim had received many awards for many services he was involved with. Jim served in the United States Army in Korea and was honorably discharged at the young age of 21. James is survived by his husband George Fennell of Billerica Massachusetts and his brother Robert Barbaro and his wife Diane of Wakefield, also many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by both parents and brother Anthony Barbaro. At Jims wishes there is no memorial services planned. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Billerica Cat Care Coalition.
