Loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. Frank Julio Xavier, 77, a longtime resident of the Town of Billerica, died Friday evening, February 11, 2011 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was the beloved husband of Ruth Ellen (Reardon) Xavier, with whom he celebrated 51 years of marriage on September 19, 2010. Born in Cambridge, April 16, 1933, he was the son of the late Julius Xavier and Anna Strozzi. He was a graduate of Arlington High School, Class of '51. An honorably discharged veteran, Frank proudly served as a Radio Operator in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Xavier had been employed as a Logistics Engineer with Raytheon Corporation in Tewksbury. He pursued an interest in photography and nurtured a passion for cooking throughout his life. He also enjoyed many happy hours with his wife at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. In addition to his loving wife Ruth, he is survived by his four children: Suzanne (Xavier) Phelps and her husband Dan of Lowell, Joseph Xavier of Chelmsford, Christine (Xavier) Callaghan and her husband Glenn of Groveland, MA, and Matthew Xavier and his wife Maureen (MacMullin) Xavier of Billerica. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Frederic and Elaine Santini of Woburn. Throughout his life, Frank Xavier was known to his family and friends as a creative inventor, who could "MacGuyver" his way through anything.
