Obituary of Michelyne F. Couet

Michelyne F. (Charbonneau) Couet, age 73, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer Sunday, February 13, 2011 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert D. Couet. Born in Montreal, Canada, June 16, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Donat and Imelda (Ouimette) Charbonneau. In 1967 with her husband and family, she emigrated from Canada to Billerica. When her husband died, unexpectedly, a short time later, she made the decision to remain in the United States and raise her children by herself rather than return to Canada, believing her children would have more opportunities to succeed in this country. Her strong will and devotion to her family continued throughout her life. Her love was for her children, grandchildren, and extended family. Prior to her retirement, Michelyne was employed at DuPont Company in North Billerica, where she worked as a lab assistant. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Morrill and her husband Michael of Billerica, Johanne Couet of Billerica and her fianc Mark Kelly, and France Harrison and her husband Bruce of Hudson, NH. She was also the mother of the late James R. Couet. Other survivors include her brother Jacques Charbonneau and his wife Celine of Canada and her sister Lucille Charbonneau of Canada. She was also the sister of the late Peirette LaPlante. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Eric Morrill and his wife Nicole, Sarah Cadotte and her husband Ryan, Robert and Timothy Fraser, and Emily Harrison, and her cherished great grandchildren, Dylan James Cadotte and Grace Elizabeth Morrill.
