Obituary of Phyllis R. Wink
Phyllis R. (Ballard) Wink, died Thursday, March 17, 2011, at her home in Billerica. She was born in Owensboro, Kentucky, October 12, 1942, the daughter of the late Everett and Viola Ray (Crabtree) Ballard.
She was a current and active member in the Boy Scouts of America, Greater Lowell District, since 1968. Phyllis was the recipient of the District Award of Merit and Silver Beaver for adult leaders who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the Council. She also had the rank of the Order of the Arrow.
A resident of Billerica since 1966, she drove the Book Mobile for the Bennett Library. She also volunteered at the Billerica Public Library. She retired from Dupont Merck Pharmaceutical Company in Billerica after 20 years as a paralegal assistant.
She is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law, Joe Wink and his wife Christina of Chelmsford, Michael Wink and his wife Dawn of Tewksbury, Daniel Wink and his wife Lisa of South Berwick, Maine, and Ken Wink and his wife Becky of Chelmsford, her brother Ellwood Ballard of Billerica, and her sister Brenda Kemp and her husband Tom of Nashua, NH. She also leaves her 9 loving grandchildren, Alyssa, Shannon, Josie, Steven, Jimmy, Christopher, Lisa, Tegan, and Gavin, and her niece Kayla Kemp of Nashua, NH.
