Obituary of Franklyn R. Fader

Franklyn R. Fader, Sr., of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away June 20, 2011, at Harmony Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Sarasota, FL, after a lengthy illness. He was born in Boston on October 24, 1936, the son of the late John F. Fader and Emma Mae (Worden) Fader. Frank grew up in Billerica and attended Billerica Public Schools. He lived in Chelmsford, MA for many years and for the past eight years resided in Port Charlotte, FL. Frank was well-respected in the grocery business, having worked at the Food Basket in Billerica, at Purity Foods for over 20 years, and for several years at Associated Grocers of New England. He learned all phases of his occupation from bundle boy to district manager and throughout those years, enjoyed friendships with many of his fellow associates. He was a past member of the Chelmsford Lions Club, where he served as Treasurer. Frank thoroughly enjoyed golf and a good game of cards. He is survived by his former wife, Linnea Fader; his daughter, Joyce Fader Bosher of Ayer; and his son, Franklyn Fader, Jr., of Chelmsford; two brothers, John Fader of Englewood, FL, and David Fader of Port Charlotte, FL; as well as several nieces and nephews. Fader-Family and friends are invited to attend his graveside Memorial Service to be held Saturday, August 6, at 11:00 am at the Fader family lot, Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica, officiated by Rev. Stephen Burkett of the Congregational Church in North Chelmsford.
