Manuel J. Fonseca, age 93, died Monday, November 7, 2011 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington after a brief illness. He was born in Cambridge on June 25, 1918, a son of the late Manuel and Maria (Andrade) Fonseca, and lived in Cambridge and Bedford before moving to Billerica where he lived for most of his life. Mr. Fonseca worked in maintenance at Boston and Maine Railroad for many years and was active in the Lowell and Billerica Senior Centers. He also enjoyed fishing, playing pool and painting. He is survived by two sons, Manuel Fonseca Jr. of Newburyport and David Fonseca of Billerica; two daughters Annette Mouris of Easton and Susette Fonseca of Billerica; one sister, Dorothy Creedon of NY; as well as six grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
