Thomas E. McMullen, age 70, died Tuesday, December 27, 2011, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Billerica. He was the beloved husband of Mary P. "Pat" (McDevitt) McMullen. He was born in Boston, October 11, 1941, the son of the late Thomas and Annette (LaFontaine) McMullen. He served during the Cuban Crisis with the U.S. Navy. In May of 2008 he retired from the New Balance Company in Lawrence after 18 years as an Operations Manager. He was a resident of Billerica for over 50 years and a member of the Billerica Elks, #2071. Besides his wife he is survived by his four daughters, Mary Ann McMullen of Billerica, Cheryl Russo and her husband Vincent of Hudson, NH, Patricia Parece and her husband Mark of Pelham, NH, and Michele McMullen of Billerica and her fiance Chris Swimm of Tewksbury; his son, Thomas J. McMullen and his wife Kerry of Billerica; his brothers, John and Michael McMullen, both of NJ; his 10 loving grandchildren, Angela Russo, Justina Russo, Jacqueline Shaw, David Shaw, Cortney Parece, Jordan Parece, Bradley McMullen, Katherine McMullen, Cody Swimm, and Dylan Swimm; and his great grandson, Jacob Russo.
